Welcome to Solobo!
We’re Courtney and Daniel Peebles, the proud parents and creative minds behind Solobo.
Our journey began out of both love and necessity. When our oldest son lacked toy options because he was always ahead in "typical" developmental milestones our other son faced complex medical needs, and we knew we had to do something. What started as a side business to help cover medical bills rapidly grew into our full-time passion.
With backgrounds in media and film, creativity is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in creating educational toys that not only bring joy but also naturally support diverse developmental needs.
Inspired by Montessori principles, our toys are designed for real-world recognition and are adaptable for all children so everyone can be included regardless of their developmental stage.
Our goal is to respect each child’s unique development and combine the joy of play with a lifelong passion for learning.
Our toys are unique and carefully crafted with inclusivity and purpose in mind. Courtney, our dedicated designer, pours her heart into every product, ensuring each educational resource fosters creativity and love for learning.
Family is everything to us, and building Solobo has allowed us the flexibility to be stay-at-home parents so that we can prioritize our children's diverse needs.
We're driven by our desire to help families like ours, and that's why a portion of every order is donated to initiatives that benefit neurodivergent individuals and their families. We're determined to make the world a more inclusive and supportive place.
And this is just the beginning. We have a dream of inclusive education, and toys are just the start. Our vision is to expand into ..... well you'll have to stay tuned to find out!
Thank you for being part of our community and supporting our mission.
Best,
Courtney & Daniel Peebles
Our mission is to inspire children to explore, discover, and learn through play.
We believe all brains are beautiful
We strive to challenge disability stigmas and actively support the neurodivergent community. Each toy is designed with neurodivergent children in mind.
We strive to be an eco-friendly business
We use FSC-certified wood and water-based dyes to create eco-friendly toys that are safe for children and the environment.
We believe that play is a powerful tool
We believe that play is a powerful tool for nurturing creativity, problem-solving, and social interaction. By infusing the essence of the Montessori method into our toys, we empower kids to think independently, strengthen their fine motor skills, and embrace their natural sense of wonder.
